This The Golf Week long tour allows you to play Golf at two of Sri Lanka’s most popular golf venues. Golf in Sri Lanka also provides you an opportunity of visiting few of the must visit attractions in Sri Lanka such as, Temple of the Tooth Relic, Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage, Gangarama Temple, and the city tour of Kandy, Colombo and also a shopping tour in the bustling capital.
This is a private tour package, guest have the freedom of travel on location in a private vehicle.
Day 1 - Meet and assist at Colombo International Airport (BIA) by our company representative and proceed to the hotel in Kandy, the Hill capital of the Island. Kandy is a world heritage site and home to numerous Buddhist temples including the Temple of the Tooth Relic. Set in a valley surrounded by a ring of mountains, the city of Kandy is the gateway to the Salubrious hill country of Sri Lanka. Overnight stay at the hotel in Kandy, in close proximity to Victoria Golf Club.
Day 2/3 - Kandy
After breakfast play a round of Golf in the Victoria Golf Course. Some golf courses have a splendid undulating terrain over which the holes are routed. Other courses have a scenic backdrop of hills and lakes, which excite the senses. However, the Victoria Golf Course near Kandy is blessed with both attributes. Spreading over peaks and slopes with vast Victoria Reservoirs’ soothing breeze, Victoria Golf Course is one of the finest golf courses in the world. Still more it awarded as the finest and the most immaculately maintained golf course in the Indian subcontinent for several years and voted ‘Best in Asia 2005’ by Asian Golf Monthly. The 6877m (par 73) golf course which has made full use of the terrain so much so that Jak Golfers Digest ranks it in the top 100 Most Beautiful Courses in the World.
Optional Visits: Peradeniya Botanical Gardens, Kandy Templeof the Sacred Tooth Relic, Cultural show of Traditional Dances, Tea Museum, Cultural Show, Gem Museum, Handicrafts, and Spice Garden. Overnight stay at the hotel in Kandy.(Close proximity to Victoria Golf Club)
Day 4 - Kandy / Pinnawala / Colombo
After breakfast proceed to Colombo via Pinnawala. Pinnawala which is about one hour away from the Kandy town, is one of the largest elephant orphanages where they rear Elephants that were lost to their herds by human-elephant conflict and by falling into pits. Most of them are baby elephants. The elephants are fed at the orphanage and bathed in the nearby river twice a day, which will be an unforgettable experience for you. Continue to Colombo, Sri Lanka’s business capital, located on the country’s west coast and is by far the country’s biggest city, as well as a window to the world. The city is a jarring mix of old and new Sri Lanka, with a central cluster of high-rise office blocks and hotels overshadowing red-tiled colonial-era buildings and sprawling street markets which overflow with high piled fruit and vegetables, colorful silks and cottons, and deliciously fragrant spices. Colombo offers many interesting venues that you can visit; The Galle Face Green Promenade, the National Museum, the National Art Gallery, the Independence Square, the Dutch Museum, Gangarama Temple, the old ‘Dutch Hospital’ which has been converted into a mall, and the National Library are some of them. Shopping options are widely available while the Nightlife is indeed enjoyable. Overnight stay at the hotel in Colombo.
Day 5/6 - Colombo
After breakfast proceed to the Royal Colombo Golf Club. The Royal Colombo Golf Club, one of the oldest in the world, received its Royal Charter from the British Crown in 1928. Set within a 96 acre former model farm that is located in a picturesque suburb area of Colombo 8, the Golf Club gives away the feeling of a sanctuary in the commercial capital of Sri Lanka. The Royal Colombo Golf Club that can be reached within 20 minutes by car. Through its many water hazards and bunkers this 5770 m (par 71) golf course offers challenges that would test the limits of even the most seasoned players.
As a feature you could opt for a Colombo City Tour or a Shopping Tour. Overnight stay at the hotel in Colombo.
Day 7 - Colombo / Airport
Leave the hotel at the standard check-out time and proceed to the airport for the departure.
