A special trip to Sri Lanka for people who wish to have a relaxing holiday, to stay away from stressful day today lifestyle. Taking you through the central highlands of Sri Lanka, at a perfect pace where you could explore the culture and heritage of our beautiful island leisurely. Few days in Nuwara Eliya and Ella will offer you some breath-taking sceneries, and finally ends the tour with a peaceful beach holiday in Hikkaduwa, where you could relax and do nothing and then rest afterwards..!!

Airport > Kandy > Pinnawala > Nuwara Eliya > Ella > Hikkaduwa > Colombo

Day 1 - Meet and assist at Colombo international airport by our company representative and proceed to Kandy, the cultural capital of Sri Lanka.

Day 2 - After breakfast proceed to Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage. Pinnawala which is about one hour away from the Kandy town, is one of the largest elephant orphanages where they rear Elephants that were lost to their herds by human-elephant conflict and by falling into pits. Most of them are baby elephants. The elephants are fed at the orphanage and bathed in the nearby river twice a day, which will be an unforgettable experience for you. On completion return to the hotel in Kandy.

In the evening do a city tour of Kandy and enjoy a cultural show of traditional dances & then visit the temple of the sacred tooth relic of Buddha located in the heart of the city next to the scenic man-made lake. Overnight stay at the hotel in Kandy.

Day 3 - After breakfast proceed to Nuwara Eliya.

Nuwara Eliya of Central Highlands of Sri Lanka at an altitude 6,200 ft above the sea level was made into a health resort by the British in the 19th century. Such is the character of the district of Nuwara Eliya, with its home gardens of plants and flowers and cultivation of vegetables, even today it is known as Little England.

Sri Lanka is one of the world’s largest exporters of tea. Since the introduction of tea to Sri Lanka in mid 19the century Nuwara Eliya has been the capital of the tea industry. For many miles prior to reaching Nuwara Eliya from either direction you will find acres and acres of tea plantations. There are many factories open for visitors which also have tea sales outlets. Day 4 - After breakfast proceed to Ella.

Ella is a small village in the central highlands of Sri Lanka, with stunning views. It is a great base for relaxing with the perfect climate, which will refresh your mind, body and soul. The sleepy village is nestled in a valley peering straight through Ella Gap to the plain nearly 1000m below, and across to the coast where, on a clear night, you can see the Great Basses Reef Lighthouse. And as if the views weren’t enough, Ella is surrounded by hills perfect for walks through tea plantations to temples and waterfalls. Overnight stay at the hotel in Ella.

Day 6 - After breakfast proceed to Udawalawe / Hikkaduwa.

After breakfast travel to Udawalawe. This national park is undoubtedly the best place in Sri Lanka to see wild Asian Elephants throughout the year. There are about 500 elephants in the park and they often roam in herds of up to 100. Udawalawa National Park is unique in terms of consistency in its number of elephants. It has no a seasonal variation in terms of Elephant gathering. The best hours to visit the park are in the mornings and evenings. Late evenings also afford the photographic opportunities in the backdrop of the loveliest of sunsets.

Upon completion travel to Hikkaduwa

This fun coastal town was the first (1960’s) of Sri Lanka’s beautiful beaches to be discovered by tourists. Snorkeling and diving in the clear waters are the major past-time along this stretch and is the most environmentally friendly way to see the colorful fish that dart around. The coral sanctuary found on the coast of Hikkaduwa is a large shallow body of water enclosed by a reef, decorated with layers of multi colored corals, which is home to countless number of colorful fish. There are more than four different shipwrecks for diving enthusiasts to explore along with dive shops offering PADI courses and equipment.

Hikkaduwa is one of the best surfing spots in Sri Lanka, with a clear warm water base. The surfing in the Hikkaduwa region is quite well known and gets the best surf during its dry season, November to March. Overnight stay at the hotel in Hikkaduwa.

Day 9 - After breakfast proceed to Colombo.

Colombo, Sri Lanka’s bustling capital, is located on the country’s west coast and is by far the country’s biggest city, as well as its window on the world. The city is a jarring mix of old and new, with a central cluster of high-rise office blocks and hotels overshadowing red-tiled colonial-era buildings and sprawling street markets which overflow with high piled fruit and vegetables, colourful silks and cottons, and deliciously fragrant spices.

Colombo offers many interesting venues that you can visit. The Galle Face Green Promenade, the National Museum, the National Art Gallery, the Independence Square, the Dutch Museum, Gangarama Temple, the Dutch hospital premises which has been converted into a mall, and the National Library. Shopping options are widely available while the night life is indeed enjoyable. Overnight stay at the hotel in Colombo.

Day 10 - Colombo / Airport 

Leave the hotel at the standard check-out time and proceed to the airport for the departure.
