This is a private tour package, guest have the freedom of travel on location in a private vehicle.
Colombo – Pinnawala (2.5hrs – 110km)
Leave the hotel at about 6.00 AM and proceed to Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage.
You can have your breakfast (at own cost) on your way or packed breakfast from the hotel. This will take approximately 2.5 hours to reach Pinnawala from Colombo.
Arrive at Pinnawala at approximately 8.30 AM
The Orphanage is open from 8.30 AM to 5.45 PM for visitors.
The elephants are fed at the orphanage and bathed in the nearby river twice a day, which will be an unforgettable experience for you.
There are three times for bottle feeding. If you do not wish to see the bottle feeding at 9.15 AM, we suggest you to leave the hotel at about 7.00 AM.

After spending 2 hours in Pinnawala Orphanage proceed to Kandy.
Pinnawala – Kandy (1hrs and 20min – 42.4km)
Kandy is a world heritage site and is home to numerous Buddhist temples including the sacred Temple of the Tooth Relic. Set in a valley surrounded by rings of mountains, the city of Kandy is the gateway to the Salubrious hill country of Sri Lanka.
Gadaladeniya Temple (11.00 AM)
Travel to Gadaladeniya Temple, which is situated at Pilimatalawa on the Kandy-Colombo Road, just passing Kadugannawa. This is famous for its beautiful stone carvings. This temple was built on a flat rock at Diggala in the 14th Century.Embekke Devalaya and Lanka Thilaka Viharaya are also located close by.
Lankathilaka Viharaya (11.30 AM)
Lankathilaka Viharaya, Kandy was constructed in the 14th century AD by King Buvanekabahu the 4th. It was revived later by Vijayabahu IV. Lankathilaka Viharaya was made in the conventional Sinhalese way. Lankathilaka Viharaya is one of the popular tourist destinations in Kandy and is worth visiting.
Embekka Devale (12.00 PM)
Embekke Devale, famed for its elaborate woodcarvings, pillars and other structures, nestle in the Udu Nuwara.
Peradeniya Botanical Garden (12.30 PM)
Royal botanical garden ofPeradeniya is well known for its large number and variety of plants, ornamental, decorative, useful & medicinal. More than 4000 species include indigenous and introduced plants. This garden is best known for its collection of orchids, the largest in Asia.
Enjoy your lunch (at own cost) afterwards at around 1:30 PM.
Temple of the Tooth (Sri Dalada Maligawa) (3.00 PM)
Sri Dalada Maligawa or the Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic is a Buddhist temple in the city of Kandy, Sri Lanka. It is located in the royal palace complex of the former Kingdom of Kandy, which houses the relic of the tooth of the Buddha.
Start your journey back to Colombo at about 5.00 PM.
